How it Works

When a client has had their assessment and has been accepted into one of our supported living homes, we draw up a plan for their daily living and treatment programme with MedicsProCare. We adhere to the recognised guidelines in our industry and the advice of all the professionals involved, from social workers to clinicians.
We also believe in consulting with family members and friends of our clients, but at the forefront of our assessment is the personal contact we develop with clients themselves. Our personalised support plans have to meet certain criteria in order to be effective whilst at the same time being respectful of the individual concerned.

In tandem with advice from professionals, we seek to develop a deep understanding of what really matters for our clients themselves. Not just concerning the particular focus that their own unique clinical needs may require but looking to the wider hopes and desires that they have as individuals. This is as much about the client's view on how they are looked after and their own goals and ambitions as it is about coming up with a plan that complies with recognised principles and guidelines.
At the core of our support is the one to one relationships we have with our clients. We consider all the client's strengths as well as their needs and vulnerabilities when we agree a plan for their future with us. We keep a written plan for our clients which can be referred to by all involved and reviewed at appropriate times so that we can assess goals and achievements.

At all times we seek to empower the individual to flourish from an informed and self-motivated perspective. All done in a safe and supported environment.
It's not complicated, it's FUN!
We encourage personal develpment in a group setting where individuals are able to feel that their lives are enriched by the relationships they form. It's a nurturing environment in which happiness, success and self-confidence are very much a team effort. We have lots of group activities that reinforce the sense of belonging and mutual respect. That could be a game of table tennis or football, it could be a cooking class or some basketball. Whatever it is we like to make it fun, with the full participation of staff and clients. Giving clients a sense of hope and joy is fundamental to their treatment as is the need to allow them to feel in control with the positive choices they make in their daily lives.
